RECONSTRUCTIONISM TODAY The newly-expanded, innovative "voice for creative Jewish living" published quarterly by JRF. Popularly written articles bring Reconstructionist insights to bear on Jewish religious and cultural life, with the goal of enhancing the Jewish identities of readers and heightening their sense of belonging to a distinctive movement. Regular features include "Reconnecting" (column by Dr. Carl Sheingold, JRF Executive Vice-President), "Reconsecrating" (Reconstructionist perspectives on Jewish holidays, texts, rituals), and "Reconnoitering" (profiles of Reconstructionist communities and activities). Subscriptions are $16 per year, $20 foreign, $12 for students and free with JRF membership. |

THE RECONSTRUCTIONIST Our movement's celebrated old journal now appears two times a year. Each 100-page issue includes a series of articles and book reviews on a specific theme as well as other topics reflecting the many important issues facing the Reconstructionist movement. Recent issues have focused on "New Midrash and New Ritual" and "The Role of the Rabbi". Back issues available. |
