It's long stand tradition within Judaism to make fun during the month of Adar, when Purim comes on the 15 day of the month. "Mi she'nichas Adar, marbim b'simchah", "From the moment Adar comes in, so does our joy."

Such humor is not meant to be taken seriously or to offend.
