Fall in Red

Fall in Red

photo by Rabbi Shai Gluskin, November 16, 2007, Elkins Park, PA.

This image appears in a story by Mel Scult about Kaplan's response to a Milton Steinberg Thanksgiving sermon. The connection to the story is a bit of a stretch, the Fall leaves are reminiscent of Thanksgiving and they are beautiful conveying hope and optimism -- the trees seeds are visible in the image -- and yet the leaves are about to fall and die.
