This Month at Mayim Rabim

Saturday evening, September 4
Community Selichot Program and Service at Temple Israel

This year, Mayim Rabim will join other area synagogues for a community service and program on Saturday evening September 4th at Temple Israel , 2324 Emerson Ave. So., Minneapolis

Join us at Temple Israel for a S'lichot discussion regarding the Jewish concept of derech eretz, "polite, respectful and civilized behavior," with Rabbis Cohen, Kravitz and Zimmerman. In a world where we multitask and yell at others in capital letters through computer screens...have we lost the art of civility? Together we will study the Jewish texts that guide our behavior, and analyze how technology affects our personal interactions. Don't miss Rabbi Glaser's humorous monologue to start our discussion.

The evening's schedule is as follows:
8:30 p.m. Art Exhibit and Wine & Cheese Reception

S'lichot: Redemption, Reconciliation and Rebirth
9:00 p.m. Havdallah Service
9:30 p.m. Derech Eretz Panel Discussion
10:30 p.m. Dessert Reception
11:00 p.m. S'lichot Service
